After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Kerens, Cayuga was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They blew past the Wortham Bulldogs 9-2. Considering the Wildcats have won seven games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Colt Mullican made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed 6.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. Mullican was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
In other batting news, Cash Conner was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base. He is becoming a predictor of Cayuga's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 5-9 when he doesn't).
