St. Petersburg Catholic is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Out-of-Door Academy: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Barons blew the Thunder out of the water with a 49-6 final score. The Barons' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Chase Burrill continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 280 yards and four TDs while picking up 10.8 yards per attempt, and also punching in one score on the ground. Burrill is crushing it when it comes to passing touchdowns: he's passed for at least three every time he's taken the field this season. Larry Christian III helped Burrill out on the ground, rushing for 110 yards and one touchdown on only nine carries.
St. Petersburg Catholic's run defense was locked in: Out-of-Door Academy could only muster 3.3 yards per carry. The team can thank Courtney Taylor for the heroic effort on defense: he. St. Petersburg Catholic didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 9.7.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Seffner Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They breezed past The Master's Academy to the tune of 48-7 on Friday. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 41-0.
Seffner Christian's win came from a few key players St. Petersburg Catholic will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Reid McCollum, who threw for 121 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 88.9% of his passes, and also rushed for 77 yards on only six carries. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up 2.5 sacks and making three total tackles. Another player making a difference was Keion Moore, who rushed for 95 yards and one score on only ten carries.
Seffner Christian's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB nine times. The heavy lifting was done by McCollum and Eli Hargus, who racked up five sacks between them.
Seffner Christian's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for St. Petersburg Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 8-0.
