The Memorial Chargers lost to the Collinsville Cardinals back in January of 2018, but the Memorial Chargers didn't allow the Collinsville Cardinals the same satisfaction on Friday. Memorial came out on top against Collinsville by a score of 59-49. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Memorial.
It was another big night for Mataya Hall, who scored 34 points. She continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Asia Roper, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and three blocks.
Memorial's win bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Collinsville, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Memorial on the road again on Saturday and play against Will Rogers College at 7:00 p.m. on January 20th. Will Rogers College is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. As for Collinsville, they will head out on the road to face off against Skiatook at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
