Rogers has gone 8-2 against Sumner recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Rams are taking a road trip to square off against the Spartans at 4:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Rogers came out on top against Curtis on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run first inning. The Rams' pitchers stepped up to hand the Vikings a 10-0 shutout. The win was familiar territory for the Rams, who have now won four games in a row.

| 04/07/26 vs Bethel | 3 |

Madison Adair (2026) was incredible, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Payton Walling (2027) was another key player, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Rogers was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .520. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Sumner made easy work of South Kitsap on Monday and carried off a 21-2 victory. That looming 21-2 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Spartans yet this season.
Josslyn Sorensen made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Sorensen was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Riley Meyers, who fired off two home runs, five runs, and five RBI while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Emma Hixon, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
Rogers' record now sits at 14-3. As for Sumner, their record is now 10-5.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Rogers has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 11.6 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Sumner struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8.7 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Rogers beat Sumner 4-1 in their previous meeting back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rams since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
