The Rogers Rams will square off against the Graham-Kapowsin Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Rogers comes in on five and Graham-Kapowsin on three.
Rogers proved they can win big last Monday (they won by 22) and last Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over Emerald Ridge. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Rams have posted since May 8, 2024.

Sierra Murray spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up 13 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Rogers saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Payton Walling, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.
Meanwhile, Graham-Kapowsin hadn't done well against Puyallup recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Eagles walked away with a 7-4 victory over the Vikings. The game snapped a strange streak: the last three times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.
Macee Matison was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and three runs. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Payton McCulloch, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Graham-Kapowsin always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .517. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Rogers pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Graham-Kapowsin, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.
Wednesday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Rogers has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .439. However, it's not like Graham-Kapowsin struggles in that department as they've averaged .484. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Rogers took their victory against Graham-Kapowsin in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 9-2 score. Do the Rams have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
