The McGill-Toolen Yellowjackets had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They strolled past Geneva with points to spare, taking the game 47-31.
Geneva lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Simone Minnifield, who scored nine points along with six rebounds.
McGill-Toolen's win bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Geneva, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-5 record this season.
McGill-Toolen will head out on the road to face off against Robertsdale at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Geneva and Dale County will face off at 5:30 p.m. on January 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
