Baseball Recap: Skyview Snags Sixth Win in Last Seven Games

Skyview extended their postseason success on Saturday against Nampa. They put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 13-6 win. The Hawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by six runs or more this season.

Henry Downey was a major factor no matter where he played. He pitched three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Mason Krahn was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Tyler Russell, who went 2-for-4 with four runs and one double.

Skyview is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.9 runs over those games. As for Nampa, they now have a losing record of 13-14.

Skyview didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 8-7 win against Moscow on the 10th. Nampa does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
