The Lakewood Spartans won the last time they faced the Pinellas Park Patriots, and things went their way on Thursday too. Lakewood blew past Pinellas Park 86-18 at home. The team accrued 74 points in the first half and coasted on those for the win.
Sumayah McIntosh was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 14 steals. McIntosh is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Riana Callihan was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 steals.
The win makes it two in a row for Lakewood and bumps their season record up to 3-1. As for Pinellas Park, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Lakewood will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Sarasota at 2:30 p.m. As for Pinellas Park, they will head out on the road to face off against Palm Harbor University at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
