Kayden Quiroz made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 12 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit (and only one walk). Those 12 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to RBI, as she's now brought in three or more in each of the last three games she's played.
In other batting news, Western Christian got a big performance out of Aryana Munoz, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Abby Wibbens was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run.
