The La Jolla Country Day Torreys extended their postseason success on Friday against the West Hills Wolf Pack. They blew past the Wolf Pack 35-7 on the road. The result was nothing new for La Jolla Country Day, who have now won seven games by 20 points or more so far this season.
Jaden Mangini was his usual excellent self, throwing for 201 yards and three touchdowns, while also punching in two touchdowns on the ground. Quentin Cesaire also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
The victory was the fourth in a row for La Jolla Country Day, bringing their record for this year to 9-3. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 2-8 Francis Parker and 2-8 Classical Academy (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 32.7% over those games). As for West Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.
La Jolla Country Day will take on Fallbrook at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Fallbrook is ranked 311th, while La Jolla Country Day is ranked 293rd). West Hills does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
