4A Region 2 recap November 19, 2013
Charles Henderson was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after defeating Childersburg. The Trojans came in at 25 in the state poll after placing at number 32 last week.
Charles Henderson added to the longest winning streak in 4A Region 2 this week by beating the Tigers, 35-0. The victory was the 12th in a row for Mike Dean's team.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Alabama Christian Academy's Chandler Taylor and Hudson Pugh have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-1 quarterback Taylor has thrown for 2,850 yards this season, while Pugh has 33 catches for 750 yards. St. James's Frank Moody leads the league in rushing yards with 1,740.
In 89 carries D. J. Rivers has put up 994 yards this year.
The Trojans took down Childersburg 35-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
