After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Father Lopez, the Pine Ridge Panthers were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 56-29 victory over Trinity Christian Academy on the road. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Pine Ridge has posted yet this season.
Serenity Cressor continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 22 points and 23 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Brooke Murray was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with six steals.
Despite the loss, Trinity Christian Academy had strong showings from Haylee Morelli, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and four steals, and Kaylin Spor, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and two steals. That was a full 55.2% of Trinity Christian Academy's points, marking the 13th time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Pine Ridge's win bumped their record up to 5-10. As for Trinity Christian Academy, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
Pine Ridge's road trip will continue as they head out to face Spruce Creek at 10:00 a.m. on January 20th. Spruce Creek presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Pine Ridge in Florida (Spruce Creek is ranked 39th, while Pine Ridge is ranked 495th). As for Trinity Christian Academy, they will be playing at home against City of Life Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
