Winning is just a little bit easier when you outrebound your opponent 17 to ten on the offensive boards, a fact the Lakeside Panthers proved on Saturday. They took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 83-44 win over South Effingham. That 39 point margin sets a new team best for Lakeside this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lakeside to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ty Jones, who scored 11 points along with six assists. Another player making a difference was Bryce Reynierson, who scored 12 points.
Despite the defeat, South Effingham had strong showings from Chase Seyler, who scored ten points along with six rebounds, and Will Harlin, who scored nine points along with three steals.
Lakeside has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season. As for South Effingham, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-21.
Lakeside will head out on the road to challenge the Rebels at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Effingham County will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. South Effingham does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
