The Mountain View Christian Saints had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were beaten by Pyramid Lake 61-33 on Saturday.
Pyramid Lake's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Takoda Rivers, who scored 16 points along with 9 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Rivers has scored at least 25% of Pyramid Lake's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Warren Christy, who scored 14 points along with 4 steals.
Mountain View Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Pyramid Lake, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mountain View Christian will take on Liberty Baptist Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Pyramid Lake, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Owyhee at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday.
