Palmetto is 8-2 against Daniel since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Mustangs will square off against the Lions at 6:00 p.m. Palmetto is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.3 runs per game this season.
On Monday, Palmetto got the win against Southside Christian by a conclusive 16-4. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Sabres recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Halle Tompkins made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up four earned runs off five hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one triple.
In other batting news, Palmetto got a massive performance out of Graelyn Adams, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, one double, and one RBI. That's the most runs Adams has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Emma Lawson, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI.
Palmetto kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 19 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Daniel's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They came up short against Blue Ridge, falling 11-0. Considering the last time the Lions couldn't score was back in March, the team can't take the result too hard.
Palmetto's record is now 18-7. As for Daniel, their loss dropped their record down to 6-18.
Everything went Palmetto's way against Daniel when the teams last played on April 1st, as Palmetto made off with a 10-4 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
