They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 60-46 to St. Joseph Regional, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. While losing is never fun, Paramus Catholic can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 208th, while St. Joseph Regional is ranked 28th).
St. Joseph Regional's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Anthony Pacciarelli, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds. Chaz Gray was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 13 rebounds.
Paramus Catholic's loss was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-16. As for St. Joseph Regional, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.
Paramus Catholic will be playing at home against DePaul Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. DePaul Catholic is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak. As for St. Joseph Regional, they will take on Teaneck at TBD on Saturday. One thing working in Teaneck's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 14 contests.
