Clearfield is 0-3 against Box Elder since December of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Clearfield Falcons will be playing at home against the Box Elder Bees at 5:15 p.m. Hopefully Clearfield focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Friday.

Despite the defeat, Clearfield had strong showings from Isabelle Wyaskett, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and five assists, and Jayla Kearns, who scored 11 points. Meanwhile, Box Elder scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 81-58 margin over Bonneville. Given Box Elder's advantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 19th, while Bonneville is ranked 102nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Box Elder's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ashlyn Wight, who scored 24 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wight has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kaydence Barber, who scored 12 points along with six steals.

This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Clearfield have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 31.4 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Box Elder struggles in that department as they've been averaging 28.5 rebounds per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
