The Liberty Leopards's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They fell 55-45 to Memorial. Liberty has not had much luck with Memorial recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Despite the loss, Liberty still got an impressive performance from Evan Bates, who scored 21 points along with two steals. Bates hasn't dropped below two steals for seven straight games. Another player making a difference was Luke Bates, who scored six points along with six rebounds.
Leading Memorial to victory were Teyon Harris and David Moore. Harris scored 19 points, while Moore dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Moore has scored all season.
Liberty's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Memorial, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Liberty will take on Brookfield at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Brookfield focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Saturday. As for Memorial, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Crestview at 7:00 p.m. Crestview will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 715th, while Memorial is ranked 317th).
