The Austin Maroons will be playing at home against the Bowie Bulldogs at 8:00  p.m.  on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Austin comes in on three and Bowie on four.
 Last Friday, Austin didn't have too much trouble with Dripping Springs on the road   as they won  46-27.
 Austin can attribute much of their success to   Jill Shirk, who  scored 15 points along with six  rebounds, and   Kemah Shaw, who  scored 16 points along with seven  rebounds and four  steals. Shaw hasn't dropped below 15points for four straight games.  Foley Anderson was another key contributor,  scoring five points along with seven  rebounds.
 In what's become a running theme this season, Bowie gave their fans yet another huge  win on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding  69-31 win over Dripping Springs at home. Given Bowie's advantage  in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings  (they are ranked 287th, while Dripping Springs is ranked 966th), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
 Austin has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won six of their last seven matchups,  which provided a massive bump to their 13-17 record this season. As for Bowie, they pushed their record up to 18-7 with that  win, which was their sixth straight  at home.
