Basketball Recap: Make It Ten in a Row for Christian Homeschool Sports Ministries

Christian Homeschool Sports Ministries had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25.3 points) and they went ahead and made it ten on Saturday. They skirted past the Legacy Prep Christian Academy Lions 56-54. The Crimson Knights have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Lions, too.

Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Caitlin Wilson, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. That's the most boards Wilson has posted since back in November. The team also got some help courtesy of Ginger Freeman, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 17 boards.

Christian Homeschool Sports Ministries' win bumped their record up to 18-1. As for Legacy Prep Christian Academy, with the loss, they broke their 11-game winning streak and moved their record to 17-3.

Christian Homeschool Sports Ministries and Legacy Prep Christian Academy should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Christian Homeschool Sports Ministries (ranked 59th) will meet Bay Area Christian (ranked 740th) at 5:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Similarly, Legacy Prep Christian Academy (ranked 132nd) will meet Texas Truth HomeSchool (ranked 486th) at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
