Having struggled with 11 defeats in a row, Cocalico turned things around against Octorara Area on Wednesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Braves a 9-0 shutout. The Eagles' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Aiden Davis made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Cocalico is 2-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 0-13 otherwise. Davis was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one triple. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, Alex Fox was a standout: he went 4-for-5 with three RBI and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Connor Horning was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Cocalico was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Solanco came up short against Warwick on Wednesday and fell 8-4.
Solanco saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luke Herr, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another was Lucas Vilk, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.
Solanco's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Cocalico, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-8 and their overall record up to 2-14.
