The St. Stephens Indians lost against the Maiden Blue Devils back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. St. Stephens suffered a tough 64-44 loss at the hands of Maiden. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points St. Stephens has scored all season.
St. Stephens' loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Javian White, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds, and Noah VanBeurden who scored nine points.
Raheim Misher continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Maiden, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 20 rebounds. Those 20 rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Zion White was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six assists.
St. Stephens' defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Maiden, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.
St. Stephens will be home for the holidays to greet West Iredell at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Maiden won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Burns at 7:30 p.m. on December 13th. Burns will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 460th, while Maiden is ranked 102nd).
