Hernando Christian Academy found their leader in underclassman Azadee Mottahedeh, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and four steals. Mottahedeh is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Briauna Richardson, who scored four points along with five rebounds.
Real Life Christian Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zuri Griffiths, who scored six points. Yanilka Almonte was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Hernando Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 5-6-1. As for Real Life Christian Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hernando Christian Academy will challenge St. John Lutheran at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. St. John Lutheran is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games. As for Real Life Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Liberty Christian Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
