The Vasquez Mustangs entered their tilt with the Fillmore Flashes with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Vasquez breezed by Fillmore at home to the tune of 82-44.
Vasquez got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jayden Alatorre out in front who scored 15 points along with three steals. That's the first time this season that Alatorre scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Rowley, who scored nine points along with six steals.
Vasquez pushed their record up to 12-7 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.6 points per game. As for Fillmore, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Vasquez will take on Valley Torah at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Valley Torah has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 253 points over their last four matchups. As for Fillmore, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Carpinteria at 7:00 p.m.
