This season hasn't been kind to the Antonito Trojans, who are still winless after their tenth matchup. They were the victim of a rough 56-35 loss at the hands of Moffat on Saturday. The match was a close 23-21 at the break, but unfortunately for Antonito it sure didn't stay that way.
Antonito's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Destanaya Quintana, who scored seven points along with 12 rebounds and three steals, and Luz Elena Parra who scored 17 points along with five steals. That was a full 48.6% of Antonito's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Antonito bumped their record down to 0-10 with that loss, which was their ninth straight on the road. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 26.2 points per game. As for Moffat, their win ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Antonito will take on Liberty Tree Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Liberty Tree Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 17 points in their last ten games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Moffat, they will be playing at home against Centennial at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
