In what's become a running theme this season, Temple Christian Academy gave their fans yet another huge victory on Monday. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 77-32 win over First Coast Christian. That's another feather in the cap for Temple Christian Academy, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Temple Christian Academy had a senior duo take command as Troy Jenkins dropped a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds and Cameron Carpenter dropped a double-double on 20 points and 15 rebounds. Jenkins is crushing the rebound category: he's posted at least 11 every time he's taken the court this season. Micah Dixon was another key contributor, scoring six points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
Several Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Titus Wilson, who scored ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of T J Behlin, who scored four points along with 13 rebounds and two blocks.
Temple Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 10-4. As for First Coast Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 9-13.
Temple Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Berean Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th. Temple Christian Academy is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 68.4 points per game this season. As for First Coast Christian, they will take on St. Joseph Academy at TBD on Tuesday. St. Joseph Academy is coming into the match with three straight wins on the road, so First Coast Christian is out to stop a team with plenty of momentum.
