Hoke County's game  last Wednesday was a  loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Friday. Everything went their way against the Ascend Leadership Aviators as Hoke County made off with  a  3-0 victory. The  win was a breath of fresh air for the Bucks as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
 Hoke County never let Ascend Leadership on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-16,  26-24.

Leading Hoke County to victory were  Gabriel Cabezudo and  Pedro Ramos-Alejandro.  Cabezudo  had 12 assists and six  aces, while  Ramos-Alejandro  had five  digs and one assist. Those  12  assists gave  Cabezudo a new career-high.
 They weren't the only good server: Hoke County  was lethal from the service line and  finished the game with 12  aces. They are 3-1 when  they serve at least ten aces.
Hoke County's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Ascend Leadership,  they are  on  a  12-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hoke County will take on Wayne School of Engineering at 10:00  a.m.  on Saturday. As for Ascend Leadership, they will get a bit of extra time to process the  loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Village Christian Academy at 6:00  p.m.  on April 10.
