In what's become a running theme this season, the Cordova Blue Devils gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Carbon Hill with a sharp 60-34 victory. The victory was nothing new for Cordova as they're now sitting on four straight.
Cordova's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ali Simon, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 15 rebounds. Simon is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down ten or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Shyla Armstead, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds.
Cordova is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season. As for Carbon Hill, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-13.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Dora the next time they take the court. Cordova will host the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Bulldogs will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
