Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Travelers Rest's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a 59-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Woodmont. While losing is never fun, Travelers Rest can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 109th, while Woodmont is ranked 29th).
Blue Ridge is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-12 record this season. As for Travelers Rest, their loss dropped their record down to 9-11.
