The Emmett Huskies suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Saturday. They took a serious blow against Bishop Kelly, falling 64-29. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Emmett in their matchups with Bishop Kelly: they've now lost six in a row.
Ryllie Smith and Erin Hadley certainly did their best on Saturday to try and avoid the loss. Smith scored 12 points, while Hadley scored no points.
Emmett's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-11. As for Bishop Kelly, they pushed their record up to 13-4 with that win, which was their 17th straight at home.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Emmett will take on Ridgevue at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Ridgevue is coming into the match hot, having won their last five games. As for Bishop Kelly, they will head out on the road to challenge Skyview at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Skyview will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Idaho Rankings (they are ranked 97th, while Bishop Kelly is ranked 26th).
