Even though the Stephens County Indians scored an imposing 66 points on Tuesday, the Rabun County Wildcats still came out on top. Rabun County enjoyed a cozy 80-66 win over Stephens County. For Rabun County, this counts as revenge for the 59-52 loss Stephens County walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.
Huey Blalock was his usual excellent self, scoring 38 points along with six assists and five rebounds. Those 38 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Hood, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds.
Rabun County is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-10 record this season. As for Stephens County, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.
Rabun County will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Stephens County at 5:00 p.m. As for Stephens County, they will head out on the road to face off against Elbert County at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Elbert County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 last Friday.
