Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West Morris Central). Everything went their way against the Morristown Colonials on Wednesday as they made off with an 11-3 victory. The Wolfpack not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 1st (when they won 10-0).
Kelly Morgan was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jake Novello, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Matt Thomas, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
West Morris Central is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.
