San Gabriel Academy waltzed into their game on Friday with three straight wins but they left with four. They won by a goal and slipped past Magnolia Science Academy 2-1. Two seems to be a good number for San Gabriel Academy as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of goals in their previous game.
They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Javier Lemus and
Esteban Piedra, who scored.
San Gabriel Academy's win bumped their record up to 9-4-1. As for Magnolia Science Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-6-1.
San Gabriel Academy will head out on the road to take on Calvary Chapel at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Calvary Chapel is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. As for Magnolia Science Academy, they will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Vista Meridian at 4:00 p.m. Vista Meridian has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 28.
