Jacksonville is returning to their home field after beating Pittsfield on theirs, despite the fact Pittsfield has dominated at home this season. The Crimsons walked away with a 6-2 victory over the Saukees on Monday. The Crimsons haven't had any issues with the Saukees recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.
Cy Kershaw looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in ten consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Brandon Sims and Joe Reif did most of the damage at the plate: Sims went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI, while Reif went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. Jacksonville is 7-1 when Reif posts two or more runs, but 9-13 otherwise.
Meanwhile, it may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Springfield Southeast ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out Williamsville 4-2. The victory was nothing new for the Spartans as they're now sitting on three straight.
B Twist made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Twist was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with one run and one RBI.
Twist wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was T Herrington, who went 2-for-4 with one run. E Murphy was another, going 1-for-4 with one double and one RBI.
Springfield Southeast's win bumped their record up to 10-16. As for Jacksonville, their victory bumped their record up to 16-14.
Springfield Southeast's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Jacksonville hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .326. It's a different story for Springfield Southeast, though, as they've only averaged .243. Will they be able to contain Jacksonville's hitters?
Jacksonville came out on top in a nail-biter against Springfield Southeast when the teams last played back in May of 2024, sneaking past 4-3. Will the Crimsons repeat their success, or do the Spartans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
