The Omaha North Vikings stacked a sixth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They breezed by Omaha South on the road to the tune of 76-45. The victory was nothing new for Omaha North as they're now sitting on ten straight.
It was another big night for Mynor Strong, who scored 30 points along with six assists and five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jerri'on Williams, who scored 15 points along with four steals.
Omaha South lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Lou Hodoly, who scored 15 points. Hodoly hasn't dropped below 15 points for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Trayton Marshall, who scored seven points along with three steals.
Omaha South struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Omaha North racked up 21 assists.
Omaha North's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.8 points per game. As for Omaha South, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season.
Omaha North will be playing at home against Buena Vista at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Omaha North knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past ten games -- so hopefully Buena Vista likes a good challenge. As for Omaha South, they will head out on the road to square off against Fremont at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Fremont focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 last Saturday.
