Basketball Recap: Northside Christian Academy Drops Highest Score of Season Against Northwood Academy

Northside Christian Academy scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They took an 85-66 bruising from the Northwood Academy Chargers. The Crusaders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Chargers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2024.

Jacair Medlock was nothing short of spectacular for Northwood Academy: he went 7-for-14 to rack up 18 points and six steals. The Chargers are 2-1 when Medlock posts three or more steals, but 2-3 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Elyjah Oler, who shot 67% from the field on his way to 13 points and five assists.

Northside Christian Academy's defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-4. Those road losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.8 points over those games. As for Northwood Academy, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Coming up, Northside Christian Academy will be taking part in a tournament against Wilson Hall on Friday. As for Northwood Academy, they will be playing at home against Burke at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
