Softball Recap: Johnson Makes It Four in a Row at Home

Johnson proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by ten) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Brandeis Broncos 3-2. The victory continues a trend for the Jaguars in their matchups with the Broncos: they've now won eight in a row.

Johnson pushed their record up to 12-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Brandeis, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Johnson will take on rival SA Roosevelt at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Brandeis is set to square off against their familiar foe Churchill at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
