The Freedom Eagles won the last time they faced the Patriot Pioneers, and things went their way on Wednesday too. Freedom came out on top against Patriot by a score of 47-36.
When it comes to explaining why Patriot lost, one person who can't be blamed is Ella Negron. Despite the final result, she scored 17 points along with six rebounds. That was a full 47.2% of Patriot's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Crystal Wright, who scored five points along with five rebounds.
Freedom's win bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Patriot, they dropped their record down to 6-11 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Unity Reed the next time they take the court. Freedom will host Unity Reed at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, while Patriot will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
