Despite the defeat, Washburn Rural had strong showings from Griffin Durst, who scored 18 points, and JC Heim, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds. Durst is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. John Hoytal was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Junction City pushed their record up to 14-2 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.7 points per game. As for Washburn Rural, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9.
