Armuchee is 1-6 against Dade County since October of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Armuchee Indians will head out on the road to face off against the Dade County Wolverines at 7:30 p.m. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Armuchee has struggled recently with three defeats in a row, while Dade County will arrive with three straight wins.
Last Friday, Armuchee took a serious blow against Trion, falling 55-7. While losing is never fun, Armuchee can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 352nd, while Trion is ranked 138th).
Meanwhile, Dade County was able to grind out a solid win over Pepperell on Friday, taking the game 26-15.
Landon Williams was his usual excellent self, rushing for 174 yards and two touchdowns.
Trion's win bumped their season record to 9-0 while Armuchee's defeat dropped theirs to 4-5.
Armuchee was taken down by Dade County 43-7 in their previous matchup back in November of 2022. Can Armuchee avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
