The Sam Rayburn Rebels will head out on the road to  take on  the Tom Bean Tomcats  at 6:30  p.m.  on Friday. Both teams are coming into the  game red-hot, with Sam Rayburn sitting on  three straight  wins and Tom Bean on four.
On Tuesday, Sam Rayburn earned  a  7-2 victory over Honey Grove.
 Jamison Dorris made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out nine batters over  seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off   five  hits. Dorris was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with three  runs, one  double,  and one  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Case Nichols was  incredible,  going 2-for-4 with two  triples, three  RBI,  and one  run. Those  three  RBI gave  him a new career-high.
Tom Bean came out on top against Whitewright  on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive nine-run second inning. The Tomcats put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp  11-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Tomcats, who have now won 12 matchups by seven  runs or more  so far this season.
The team  relied heavily on  Dyson Farris, who  went 3-for-4 with three  RBI, one  stolen base,  and one  run. Another player making a difference was  Donnie Hooten, who  went 1-for-3 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  RBI.
 Tom Bean was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .375. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a  batting average of .333 or higher in four consecutive  contests.
 Tom Bean pushed their record up to 16-7 with the  victory, which was their third straight  at home. The  home  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 14.3 runs over those games. As for Sam Rayburn, their record now sits at 14-7-1.
 Sam Rayburn might still be hurting after the  16-3 defeat they got from Tom Bean  in their previous matchup  back in March. Can the Rebels avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
