The Munster Mustangs will head out on the road to face off against the Gary West Side Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Munster has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 762 points over their last 12 matches.
Last Tuesday, Munster made easy work of Calumet New Tech and carried off a 66-45 win. Given Munster's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 67th, while Calumet New Tech is ranked 336th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Gary West Side can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 70-50 margin over Hanover Central.
Munster pushed their record up to 12-7 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.7 points per game. As for Gary West Side, their win bumped their record up to 11-5.
Everything came up roses for Munster against Gary West Side in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 as the squad secured a 71-34 win. With Munster ahead 49-16 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
