Grant Haymore made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with four stolen bases and two runs. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Chase Pacheco was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. St. David is undefeated when Pacheco posts two or more runs, but 5-8-1 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Xavier Martinez, who went 1-for-4 with three stolen bases and two runs.
St. David is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-8-1 record this season.
