Bothell took care of business in their home opener on Friday (and then some). Everything went their way against the Mercer Island Islanders as the Bothell Cougars made off with a 74-52 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Cougars have posted since January 24th.
Several Islanders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Anna Mock, who went 6 for 12 on her way to 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Izzy Russell, who posted eight points.
Mercer Island is on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.
