Meanwhile, Paxton came up short against Jay on Tuesday and fell  57-48. The Bobcats have struggled against the Royals recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Florala will need focus on slowing down  Garrett Lowry, one of several Paxton players who made an impact when they last played. He  dropped  a double-double on ten points and 11  rebounds. What's more,  Lowry also racked up two  steals, the most he's  had since back in December of 2023.  Cade Stewart was another key player,  dropping  a double-double on ten points and ten  rebounds.
 Even though they lost, Paxton  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 15  offensive boards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Jay only pulled down eight  offensive rebounds.
 Florala's win was  their 18th straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 10-1. As for Paxton, their loss dropped their record down to 7-9.
 Florala was able to grind out a solid  victory over Paxton in their previous meeting  back in November of 2024, winning  57-45. The rematch might be a little tougher for Florala since the  squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
