The Kailua Surfriders are on the road again on Friday to play the Radford Rams at 3:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Tuesday, Kailua made easy work of Farrington and carried off a 16-2 win. The victory was just what Kailua needed coming off of a 15-4 loss in their prior game.
Meanwhile, Radford waltzed into their match on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victor by a 10-2 margin over the Tigers.
Kyralee-Marie Cordeiro made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Cordeiro was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last three times she's played.
In other batting news, Radford let Olena Umetsu and Sherri Marshall loose on the outfield.
