With a playoff game on the line, Southridge rose to the challenge on Friday. They blew past the South Broward Bulldogs, posting a 37-6 win. The Spartans' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.
Southridge can attribute much of their success to James Perrone, who threw for 151 yards and four touchdowns. Darius Clements did his part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 41 receiving yards.

Derrick Simmons and Steven Wright certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Simmons rushed for 150 yards on only 15 carries, while Wright rushed for 88 yards on only five carries. The dominant performance gave Simmons a new career-high in rushing yards.
The victory made it two in a row for Southridge and bumps their season record up to 10-2. As for South Broward, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.
Southridge wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 20-14 win against Monarch on the 22nd. South Broward does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
