The Colby Eagles are on the road again on Friday and play against the Cheney Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. on October 27th. Colby will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings (they are ranked 130th, while Cheney is ranked sixth).
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 50-6, which was the final score in Colby's tilt against Scott on Friday.
Meanwhile, Cheney put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by Halstead at home to the tune of 39-12. The result was nothing new for Cheney, who have now won seven contests by 27 points or more so far this season.
Colby's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Cheney, their victory was their eighth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 8-0.
