Dover is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Ellenville is on a six-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Dover Dragons will take on the Ellenville Blue Devils at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Dover will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 735th, while Ellenville is ranked 74th).
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 86-36, which was the final score in Dover's tilt against Spackenkill on Friday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Dover in their matchups with Spackenkill: they've now lost eight in a row.
Caden Green put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 16 points. He hasn't dropped below 16 points for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Shazell Bush, who scored seven points.
Meanwhile, Ellenville scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They blew past Onteora 93-46 at home. Ellenville has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 21 points or more this season.
It was another big night for Jason Kinscy, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 12 assists. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Alen Ibric was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds.
Dover's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Ellenville, their victory bumped their record up to 13-1.
Dover took a serious blow against Ellenville in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 88-29. Thankfully for Dover, Radames Moreno (who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 19 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
