The Cox Mill Chargers posted their biggest win yet this season on Tuesday. They took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 80-37 victory over South Iredell. Given Cox Mill's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 99th, while South Iredell is ranked 539th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Cox Mill found their leader in underclassman Cruz Miller, who scored 22 points along with six rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Miller has scored all season. Tyler Brown was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 14 rebounds.
Ryder Block and Brady Doucette certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Block scored ten points, while Doucette scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
Cox Mill now has a winning record of 9-8. As for South Iredell, they dropped their record down to 2-16 with that defeat, which was their 17th straight at home.
Cox Mill will take on Mooresville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for South Iredell, they will head out on the road to square off against West Cabarrus at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
